Teachers participating in the KftB Watershed Action or Four Rs Action programs are eligible to enroll in our Academic Credit For Teachers program. Teachers can earn four to eight units of credit for each program. This is a wonderful opportunity for teachers to earn required professional level, academic credit while learning to teach an environmental education program alongside their students. All lessons, field trips and action projects will be modeled for teachers by a KftB Program Director, with their class, in the classroom and in the field. A curriculum guide and an equipment kit are provided for teachers to help them to continue teaching the program themselves after their year of training with KftB. Teachers will complete activities and lessons with their students as well as written assignments and projects to receive academic credit.
