Creek and Bay Field Trip Explorations take students and teachers on exciting field trips to explore unique aquatic ecosystems at a creek or Bay shoreline habitat. Students in grades K-2 experience close-up, hands-on encounters with nature while they investigate aquatic invertebrates, study native plants and create nature art.

Creek and Bay Field Trip Explorations consist of three-and-a-half hours of hands-on instruction in a natural habitat and are conducted in the spring every school year. Field trip locations are in the East Bay Area and include: Sausal Creek, Strawberry Creek, Codornices Creek, Wildcat Creek, the Berkeley Marina, Crab Cove, and the Richmond Marina.
