- Watershed Action Program
The Watershed Action Program is KIDS for the
BAY’s signature program. Lessons include interactive
classroom workshops and field trips to a local creek
or bay habitat. The students learn their place in the
watershed and choose how they will take action to help
clean up and restore their local environment.

Action Program
The Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Rot (Four Rs) Action
program teaches students and their families how to reduce
the waste stream and decrease the amount of refuse entering
waterways and landfills.

- Storm Drain Ranger Program
The Storm Drain Rangers Program teaches students in
Alameda County about watersheds, storm water pollution,
storm water pollution prevention and community advocacy.

- Creek and Bay Field Trip Explorations
The Field Trip Exploration program takes students
and teachers on exciting fieldtrips to explore aquatic
ecosystems. Each experience involves close up, hands
on encounters with nature in an urban environment.

- Bay Estuary Classroom Presentation
The Bay Estuary Presentations bring the San
Francisco Bay Estuary into the classroom. Young scientists
investigate animals and plants that live in the bay,
create a three-dimensional bay model and make food chain
connections.

- School Wide Creek Education Program
The School Wide Creek Education Program is a partnership
between KIDS for the BAY and the entire elementary school.
The principal, teachers, students and parents adopt,
clean up and restore a local creek and use the creek
habitat as an outdoor classroom.

Turn your child’s birthday party into a science
adventure. Children construct dinosaur skeletons, make
fossils or set up experiments. You can also choose to
go on a creek or bay fieldtrip.
