The 15th Annual Wildcat Creek Clean-Up was a total success once again this year. The clean-up occurred on Saturday, October 17th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Davis Park. Forty dedicated volunteers, including students, their families and local residents attended the event and tirelessly collected garbage from the creek bed, banks and surrounding park. A heavy rainstorm prior to the event had washed some of the accumulated trash downstream before the clean-up, but the tenacious and cheerful volunteers still managed to collect twenty-five bags of garbage, three bags of recyclable materials, three car tires, and two shopping carts from the creek and surrounding areas. Thanks to another successful clean-up, these items will not wash down Wildcat Creek and become marine debris!
