Watershed Action Program
The Watershed Action Program is KIDS for the BAY’s signature program. The program includes interactive classroom lessons and field trips to a local creek, bay, delta, or ocean habitat. The students learn their place in the watershed and choose how they will take action to help clean up and restore their local environment.

Four Rs Action Program: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, & Rot
The Four Rs Action Program teaches students and their families how to conserve resources and reduce the amount of waste being sent to landfills. Students learn about local solid waste issue and choose how they will take action to decrease waste and protect our natural resources.

The Field Trip Explorations Program takes students and teachers on exciting field trips to explore aquatic ecosystems. Each experience involves close-up, hands-on encounters with nature in a creek or bay shoreline habitat.

Bay Estuary Classroom Presentations
The Bay Estuary Classroom Presentations bring the San Francisco Bay Estuary into the classroom. Young scientists investigate animals and plants that live in the bay, create a three-dimensional bay model, and make food chain connections.

School Wide Education Programs
The School Wide Education Programs are a partnership between KIDS for the BAY and the entire elementary school. The principal, teachers, students and parents adopt, clean up and restore a local environment and use the habitat as an outdoor classroom.
